Hi All

Thanks for coming and being part of this wonderful herb community. It was great to catch up with everyone after our journey to the Amazon and to hear about what everyone's been up to.

Please find below a description of what happened;

Guest Speaker - Sven on the High Court Case

Sven spoke about the 'weed' case due to be heart in the High Court. Although the case seems unlikely to be heard for some time, it seems as though they have a strong case. Firstly on grounds of religious belief (They are part of the christian annointed ones religion) and secondly on medical use grounds (The herb was used as a medicine for back pain suffered during a car accident)

Sven opened the floor seeking supporting statements from anyone in the community who may have similar circumstances related to illegal plant use (ie religious or medical).

Movie time

We enjoyed an outside viewing of One Giant Leaps sequal 'What About Me'.

SUMMARY OF TRIBE EARTH PROJECTS

RECONNECTED: A NOT FOR PROFIT MAGAZINE ON URBAN SHAMANISM AND CONSCIOUSNESS

For interested souls, Chid has done an amazing job of beginning the building of the Reconnected Magazine website. Its not uploaded yet but you can have a look at the beginnings of the website at http://www.reconnectedmagazine.com/. So far, we're expecting the magazine to be a full print version on a subscription basis and a briefer online magazine for non-subscribers.

We're also busy navigating the system to set up a not for profit incorporated organisation for the magazine. Chid, Georgia, Gary and myself have been working on this project.

Some new introductions

Viv, Tracy and clan from the Scarborough markets joined our circle for the first time.
Bryce Hobbs also came along and discussed the Orhms workshop and seminar with a few people.
